Cedar Bark Hat Weaving

We are pleased to inform you that the application made by Todd Giihlgiigaa to First People's Cultural Council's (FPCC's) Arts Strengthening Program - Arts Group Knowledge Transfer has been approved !

Recently, applications to the Arts Strengthening Program were evaluated by a Peer Review Committee made of up of established BC First Nations creatives and cultural workers with expertise in the disciplines relevant to the proposals. As part of this process and through a review of all necessary information by staff, Todd has been awarded a grant for the Cedar Hat weaving project. This is a fifteen week project for sixteen participants to learn about Haida Cultural teaching and how to weave a hat with cedar bark.

The workshop starts Friday June 26th from 4:30pm to 7:30pm at the Oak Park Fieldhouse at 7575 Fremlin Street, Vancouver, BC.

Check the online calendar with the Fridays with pink blocks.
