Marpole Community Day

This summer, G̱iihlgiigaa will also be facilitating an interactive arts and crafts tent at Marpole Community Day on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Oak Park beside the Marpole-Oakridge Community Centre.

Marpole Community Day returns with free, family-friendly festivities from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., featuring amusement rides, games, performances, live entertainment, food, and community exhibits celebrating the vibrant local community.

Visitors of all ages are invited to stop by the Cedar Weaving tent to participate in hands-on weaving and Indigenous-inspired art activities in a welcoming and creative space. The tent will offer an opportunity to slow down, create together, and learn through shared artistic practice rooted in connection, community, and cultural expression. Whether you are curious to try weaving for the first time or simply want to spend time creating with others, everyone is welcome to join.

For inquiries about the event, please visit www.marpoleoakridge.org or call Marpole-Oakridge Community Centre (MOCC) at 604-257-8180 ext 1. Follow @marpoleoakridgecc on Instagram for event updates.
